Hi.
About one year ago, you attended a panel at South By Southwest entitled "Short Film Secrets." While you were there, you (or someone who knows your email address) wrote your email address down on a signup sheet, indicating that you wanted to receive a one-time mailing with more information and a free offer.
This is that mailing.
===============================================
Let's jump right to the free offer:
I've created a one-week e-mail seminar entitled "7 Days to a Film Festival Strategy." As you might expect, if you take the seminar, you'll get one email a day for a week with details on how to create a festival submissions strategy for your short or feature-length film. Eventually I'll charge a few bucks for this seminar, but I'd like to test the email delivery system and get some feedback on the seminar content.
If you'd like to be my guinea pig and read some advice on how to craft a great festival strategy for your film, please drop me a line at chris@filmfestivalsecrets.com with the subject line "free seminar please." I'll get back to you with instructions on how to sign up and the seminar will begin the next day. At the end of the seminar I'll ask you to fill out a short survey.
==============================================================================
As for the "more information," well this is it:
As you know from the seminar, I run a blog called Film Festival Secrets:
http://filmfestivalsecrets.com/
There's also a book, "Film Festival Secrets: A Handbook For Independent Filmmakers," which is available in print at Amazon.com (about $20), as a PDF ($10), and soon in Kindle and iBooks editions.
You can learn more about the book and download the first two chapters for FREE here:
http://filmfestivalsecrets.com/book/
That is all. This is the only email you'll ever get from me unless you sign up for my newsletter or respond to the seminar offer. Thanks for coming to "Short Film Secrets!"
